A simple, stunning project. Artists Chris Johnson, Hank Willis Thomas, Bayeté Ross Smith and Kamal Sinclair picked a wide range of black men, from Ph.D.’s to parolees, sat them in front of a camera and asked them to dissect issues ranging from personal style to how they envision the future of the world. The result is a powerful film containing hours of conflicting and fascinating footage. The exhibit at the Gantt is long gone, but the project lives online at questionbridge.com.
