Scrolling down the list of local performing arts companies, the roll call lingers long in the C’s. So why, after years of standing apart, would North Carolina Dance Theatre wish to embed itself inside a list that already includes Charlotte City Ballet, Charlotte Dance Festival, Charlotte Youth Ballet, Charlotte Civic Orchestra and Charlotte Symphony? Apparently, there was some blockage in the donations stream because there are clueless folks who didn’t know yet that the best performing arts company in the Carolinas was based in Charlotte.
