Six artists painted a portrait of the Catawba River, the life blood flowing through our backyard. The river provides energy, recreation and hydration for us, and we treat it like a redheaded step-mule. This show gave the river a face — beautiful and besmirched — and infused our endangered watery stretch with the presence, and attention, it deserves.
