Make that County Commissioner Dan “The Lump” Bishop. Until he recently woke up to denounce the terrible practice of providing adequate money for schools, the most animated we had seen Bishop was when he claimed that banning discrimination against gay county employees was “a serious dagger at the heart of marriage” (huh?). Usually, our man Dan takes a page out of former Commissioner George Higgins’ playbook: say little, do little and go along with whatever the other Republicans are doing.
