Take away the campy costumes, the silly stage antics and the goofy (albeit clever) lyrics and you won’t have nearly as good of a time, but you’ll still have some absurdly talented sons of guns and Mike Mitschele’s uncanny falsetto and amazing versatility ... not to mention his undeniable charisma. Seriously, the guy has more than just range. He’s a total chameleon with vocal chops that can manage virtually any type of melody or tune this band happens to fancy at any given moment. And again, that’s variety to the extreme when you’re talking about the Champs.
