MOST MISSED OLD BUILDING

THE COFFEE CUP

Staff Pick

The old joint on Clarkson Street didn’t go down without a fight. After being designated for demolition in 2006, more than 13,000 people stepped up to stop the hit, but even a National Historical designation for its cultural significance couldn’t keep the building around. Sure, it was a hole in the wall, but it was also a lot of soul, too, and not just on the plates.
