Visual arts groups have become more common in Charlotte these days, and commendably, some of the leading cultural institutions have made it a part of their policy to support these artists' collectives. And because of the coherence of their vision, as well as the shared and strong sense of purpose and direction (which makes the total a lot more than a sum of the parts), God City remains the leading, most unique local visual arts group.
