If you're looking for a magnificent shoe like no other, I'm pretty sure Elle VJ Boutique is going to be the place you'll find it. During Charlotte Style Week, I spotted LaVonndra Johnson, owner of Elle VJ, in some incredibly eye-catching, purple heels that I cannot even begin to describe for you, they were that awesome.

Platform party girls will want to check out this event on Friday, May 20: RE:Public will be hosting a night for the ladies, and, more importantly, 30 pairs of shoes from Fergie's new shoe line will be given out. Considering the fact that the pop star is only 5'2" you should probably expect platform galore.

Back in 2009, O1NE, a sneaker, men's and women's clothing boutique inspired by the skateboard culture, art and fashion, opened in Uptown. People who saw my post on the opening were pessimistic about the idea of a funky shop posting up in Uptown, which hasn't exactly been known to be a hub for retail.
