Matisyahu spits signature Hasidic reggae rhymes tonight (8/30/11)

Matisyahu I remember when Matisyahu first hit the national scene and everyone was raving about his abilities. Now, here it is a few years later, and his status hasn’t grown as much as that initial hype. Maybe there’s only so far you can go with Hasidic reggae? I’m not sure, but it’s not for lack of trying, or talent. He can spit rhymes with the best of them, but nothing’s reached the popularity of “King Without a Crown.” $25-$30. Amos’ Southend.
