Going out in Charlotte doesn't have to be expensive. In fact, to prove that statement, we've compiled a list of cheap - $10 or less - things to do in the Q.C. this weekend. These events may vary, but they're all entertaining and they won't break your bank (piggy banks excluded).

Silent Disco at Rooftop 210: Forget how stupid you look dancing to music that only you and any others wearing wireless headphones can hear. All the cool kids are doing it, so hysterical onlookers can laugh on. Silent Disco offers a fun alternative to the usual club scene. Headphones have two channels that will be playing the music that DJs Kyle Biddy and Boy Beats World are spinning live onstage. Plus, the party takes place on Rooftop 210, offering stellar views of Uptown. Free admission. July 11, 8 p.m. Rooftop 210, 210 E. Trade St., Suite 230B.

Charlotte Pride Splash Day at U.S. National Whitewater Center: The annual event brings folks in the LGBT community for a day of outdoor activities, music (Mipso performs), food and drinks. Special pass discounts available here. Free admission ($5 for parking). July 12, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. U.S. National Whitewater Center, 5000 Whitewater Center Parkway. 704-391-3900.

Bastille Day Celebration at 7th Street Public Market: The French American Chamber of Commerce of North Carolina is France’s Bastille Day with its own festival being held at 7th Street Market this year. There will be live music, French food and wine, activities for children and a raffle with prizes. Free admission. July 12, 4-9 p.m. 7th Street Public Market, 224 E. 7th St.

Watch the World Cup at Courtyard Hooligans: Soccer fans can unite for the final game, Germany vs. Argentina, of the World Cup. Courtyard Hooligans, 140 Brevard Court. 704-376-2238.
