When I found out I had been granted a sit-down interview with Tyrese when he was in Charlotte a week ago, I would be lying if I said I wasn't excited. In fact, while my hubby and I sat there enjoying his concert at Ovens Auditorium, I started to get a bit nervous about our chat, which is completely unlike me. But his easygoing and actually quite peaceful spirit made him very easy to interview. We talked about everything from his current album, Open Invitation to his new book, How To Get Out Of Your Own Way. He also made what was to me a very humble comment about his start in the modeling industry.

As one of the hottest male models in the industry in the '90s, he did campaigns with Tommy Hilfiger and Guess? while simultaneously working on his music. Then exploding on the silver screen as the always lovable Jody in the movie Baby Boy, starring in Too Fast Too Furious and the Transformers trilogies, Tyrese continues to make his presence in the entertainment industry known.
