The 2014 Farm Aid benefit concert will make it's first appearance in North Carolina at Raleigh's Walnut Creek Amphitheatre on Sept. 13. Jack White will headline the event along with Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp and Dave Matthews.

The lineup also includes the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Delta Rae, Jamey Johnson, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, Carlene Carter, Pegi Young & The Survivors and Insects vs. Robots.

“In North Carolina and across the Southeast, family farmers have struggled to stay on the land, but they have also pioneered new roads to economic sustainability. This region knows the value of its farmers and offers increasing opportunities for new farmers to build a strong regional food system,” said Farm Aid President Willie Nelson. “On the Farm Aid stage Saturday, September 13, we’ll celebrate family farmers and the healthy communities they’re growing for all of us.”

Farm Aid began in 1985 as a way to raise money for family farmers in the United States. The only previous time it has been in the Carolinas was in 1996, in Columbia, South Carolina. Tickets go on sale on Aug. 1. A limited number of pre-sale tickets will be sold beginning at 12 p.m. on Friday, July 25, at
