NAMESAKE The pop-rock combo is mining alleys much-trodden by numerous bands, but the boys have that extra songwriting panache, fused with soaring guitars and hi-fidelity rhythm section, to be in the game for the long haul. Their hard alterna-rock is showcased in the recently recorded debut full-length, Borders & Fences, an album that proves the band has the moxie to rise above the masses, albeit with high-mileage touring and perseverance. Also on the bill are Harvest, Something Clever, By Summers End and Shadow of Myself. $10. Amos’ Southend. www.amossouthend.com.
