Charlotte’s free music purveyors celebrate their new 7-inch, Mission: Aloha and 5 to the 6, two relatively structured — though still wildly eclectic — backbeat-friendly pieces. It’s what one of them calls a “little love letter to David Shire and his ’70s film-score comrades,” and these cuts do indeed have that funky celluloid feel. The musical firm will be playing three sets in different configurations, spanning their four Kinnikinnik releases. Come and go as you like, but know this: your admission earns you free vinyl (with DL code), which Santa tells me you probably don’t even deserve given the naughty you got up to this year.
