Richard Buckner Given the curse that Buckner’s latest LP passed through, it’s a miracle there’s a record of it at all: recording gear failures, computer crashes, a stolen laptop, and still, Our Blood, his eighth full-length, is being hailed by some as his best work (I’m not “some,” but it’s still damn fine). Live, Buckner — a mountain of a man — can silence a room using just a guitar and a voice whose longing and regret he wields like surgical tools on the heart. If you’re secure enough to go to that place, nobody is a better guide. $12. Late show at the Evening Muse. www.theeveningmuse.com. (John Schacht)
