Beyonce's long-awaited show in Raleigh last night was suspended with 40 minutes left due to lightning, sending 40,000 fans out of Carter-Finley Stadium and into the parking lot on the N.C. State University campus, but the performer came back out about an hour and 15 minutes later to finish the show. Beyonce sang through the rain during most of the night, calling it "actually beautiful" at one point. (Theoden James, Charlotte Observer)

Police continue to ask for the public's help in finding two men they say were involved in a robbery and an attempted robbery in west and south Charlotte on Sunday. Police say one man threatened the use of a weapon in a Walmart on Wilkinson Boulevard while attempting to leave the store with stereo equipment. The man left the equipment behind, but showed up alongside another man shortly thereafter in a CVS on South Boulevard. This time, the men approached an employee and implied they were armed while demanding money. They took the money and fled the scene in a tan-colored Nissan Sentra with black door handles and a donut spare tire. (Ryan Pitkin)
