An investigation is underway after four people were found dead of gunshot wounds in a Rock Hill home. The four victims, found yesterday, included York County Assistant County Manager Anna Moore. The U.S. Women's National Team beat Japan to capture its third World Cup title, more than any other country. Carli Lloyd scored a hat trick in the first 16 minutes of play, the fastest hat trick in World Cup history for men or women. Lloyd's first goal came in the third minute and she added another just two minutes later. The game, which ended with a score of 5 - 2, was the highest scoring game in women's World Cup history.

Three people were killed on area lakes during the July 4 weekend. A 17-year-old girl was killed while wakeboarding after being hit by a boat driven by Keith Cerven, later found to be drunk. Two others were also killed on Mountain Island Lake on July 4 due to a boat crashing into a dock. There were 23 boating accidents on North Carolina lakes last year, and there has already been 21 this year.

Austin Dillon's terrifying crash at the end of last night's Daytona race had him upset with the high speeds reached at tracks like Daytona and Talladega. Dillon flipped his vehicle at about 200 miles per hour near the end of the race and went careening into 22-foot-high catch fence. He suffered a bruised tailbone and forearm. Dale Earnhardt Jr. won the race.

The South Carolina General Assembly will reconvene to discuss different topics, one of which being what to do with the Confederate flag currently flying on state Capitol grounds. There seems to be broad support in the legislature for removing the flag, yet it is not clear when this will be done, how it will be done and what will go in its place.
