Welcome to our second annual reader-submitted photo contest. Last year, we launched Filtered as a way to showcase some of the Charlotte area's talented local photographers, and we're back at it again.

Theme: Delicious

You can interpret that however you'd like, but know that a plate of food is not going to win this competition. If you’re going to send us a photo of your lunch, there’d better be something spectacular about that dish’s presentation. Please note: bonus points if your submission does not involve food.

Prize: The winning entry gets to be on a December cover of Creative Loafing, plus a cash prize of $100. (Hey, we know it’s not much, but that’s at least two tanks of gas and a large pizza.) Ten finalists will also be featured in the edition.

THE RULES

You may enter up to three photos of which you must be the photographer. Name the photographs with your first and last name and number of photographs submitted — Example: OliviaPope_1.jpg, OliviaPope_2.jpg, etc.

Per photoshopping, we’re allowing only minor burning, dodging and/or color correction. Cropping is also acceptable. Think photojournalism for this contest. Read: If we can tell you Photoshopped it, you’re out.

Photos must be high resolution (we prefer 10 x 10.75 inches at 300 dpi, taken with the highest setting on your camera).

IF YOU UPLOAD A LOW RESOLUTION PHOTOGRAPH, YOU MUST BE ABLE TO PROVIDE A HIGH RESOLUTION PHOTOGRAPH OR YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.

To send, email, Dropbox or carrier pigeon (just kidding — no printouts) to backtalk@clclt.com. Please include your first and last name and a caption for your photo.

Deadline: Nov. 26, 2014, by 5 p.m.

If you have any questions about your submission, please contact Jeff Hahne at jhahne@clclt.com or Melissa Oyler at moyler@clclt.com.
