Going out in Charlotte doesn't have to be expensive. In fact, to prove that statement, we've compiled a list of cheap - $10 or less - things to do in the Q.C. this weekend. These events may vary, but they're all entertaining and they won't break your bank (piggy banks excluded).

5th Annual Martini and a Makeover at BlackFinn Restaurant & Saloon: This event includes a swag bag for the first 100 ladies, specially concoted martinis available for purchase and makeovers (woo hoo!). $5 donation and proceeds benefit the American Heart Association. Under the Sea Hootenanny at Neighborhood Theatre: This aquatic-themed show is part of the PBR Summer Concert Series and features live music by Junior Astronomers, Hectorina, and Modern Primitives. Summer Food Truck Rally at Rural Hill: The outdoor event, held at the historic Rural Hill farm, features more than 15 local food trucks. There's also live music by Sandtum Sully, games (including corn hole), hayrides, and craft beers and wines. Free admission. Party Like A Pin-Up at Automatic Slims: This pin-up themed party, presented by Charlotte Fashion Week and Channel 96.1 FM, features lovely pin-up girls, drink specials, giveaways, and more. Cirque de Whisky at Whisky River: Whisky River transforms its quarters into a circus-themed fun zone that’s complete with aerialists, vodka-flavored snow cones, popcorn, cotton candy, and other special performances throughout the night. Amadeus at ImaginOn: The Main Library continues its Made in 1984: Hollywood Movies from 30 Years Ago Series with a screening of Amadeus. Free admission. July 19, 2 p.m. ImaginOn's Wells Fargo Playhouse, 300 E. 7th St.

Petapalooza at Charlotte Nature Museum: The event gives folks a chance to interact with rescued pets and exotic animals. Those looking to buy a furry/scaly creature can also learn about the responsibilities associated with pet ownership. Free with museum admission. The Grape Taste of Morrison: This free event offers guests the chance to sample complimentary wine and food and shop special sale items. There’s also live music and giveaways.
