Hunt Slonem Book Signing and Reception at Allison Sprock Fine Art: It seems a little too timely that abstract artist Hunt Slonem is promoting his latest book, Bunnies, during the month of April. Using thick black lines, Slonem builds the body of these furry little creatures with floppy ears. Free admission. Spring Fling at Aloft Ballantyne Hotel: Bring a canned good for free admission to this event that benefits the Second Harvest Food Bank. Smurf Pop All Blue Paint Party at Bar Charlotte: As the venue's flyer states, "come in white and leave in blue." Walking Tour of Biddleville: Ever got to thinking that you don't know the history behind your surroundings? If so, then this upcoming walking tour - presented by The Charlotte Museum of History, Levine Museum of the New South, Historic Charlotte, and Johnson C. Smith University - should have you lacing up your shoes for some enlightening exploration. Neighborhoods that will be highlighted include Biddleville and artsy sections of Charlotte like Plaza Midwood and NoDa. The program expands on Charlotte Museum of History's Charlotte Neighborhoods exhibit, which takes a historical approach to sections of Charlotte. The first walking tour starts with Biddleville.
