Art festivities in swing

Art enthusiasts and folks wanting to get a jump-start on the holiday shopping, have several options for picking up cool finds this weekend.

Tonight (Nov. 18, from 6 p.m.-10 p.m.), NoDaRioty's All Arts Market takes over Neighborhood Theatre. More than 70 artists display their works, all of which are available for purchase at reasonable prices. Paintings, jewelry, clothing, purses, soaps and a whole lot more make it fun to look, even if you don't buy anything. Plus, admission to the event is free.

The Southern Christmas Show also continues through this Sunday at The Park Expo & Conference Center. Vendors gather in the quarters massive space to sell arts, crafts, jewelry, ornaments, toys, clothing, food and other items. It's a crowded bazaar of seasonal bliss - or claustrophobia - depending on how you look at it. Holiday decorations and the themed Christmas Village get you in the spirit of things. And last, but not least is The Light Factory's 30th Annual Art Auction at Extravaganza Depot on Saturday (Nov. 19). $75 (ouch!) gets you in for an evening of silent and live auctions on fine art. Happy bidding!
