ALIPAC wants N.C. to become Arizona 2.0

There ain’t no rest for the wicked, indeed — the North Carolina based immigration and border enforcement advocacy organization, Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC), has wasted no time in using Senator Richard Burr's election as an opportunity to add flames to the anti-immigrant fire. In an e-mail sent out yesterday, group officials wrote:

"With the historic change in leadership in Raleigh we now have a chance to meet the public's demand for action against illegal immigration in ," said William Gheen President of ALIPAC. "We want the NC Legislature to protect workers, students, taxpayers, and voters from the negative aspects of illegal immigration in 2011!"

ALIPAC and William Gheen will be asking the NC Legislature to accomplish the following through legislation.

1. Stop illegal aliens from receiving any taxpayer benefits except for emergency care, K-12 education, and vaccines. All voter registration, licensing, higher education, welfare, unemployment and food assistance resources should be protected and reserved for NC Citizens.

2. Pass an improved version of ' Arizona's immigration bill to strengthen the role of local police in enforcing America''s existing immigration laws.

"We want to help NC lawmakers craft, file, and pass legislation that will make our state much less attractive to illegal immigrants who are looking for jobs and taxpayer resources," said William Gheen.

Gheen also expressed interest in appearing on talk radio shows across the state to inform the public about ALIPAC’s plans, which should be interesting considering his rather colorful behavior when speaking to the media in the past. What truffles of wisdom will his message of exclusion bring us next? Stay tuned.
