Spamming the DNC on Twitter

The Democratic National Convention organizers are in St. Louis, Mo., today discussing strategy for 2012.

Wait. What, what, what do you say? Isn't that one of the cities Charlotte is competing against for the 2012 convention? Hell yes it is.

Well, the Twitters aren't having it, and they're about to stir things up a bit ... in a way only Twitter will allow.

It's called the #DNC hashtag party, but you need to go no further than your computer screen to attend. CLTblog.com's Desiree Kane (@dbirdy on Twitter) sums up the details here.

Here's why you should join in:

Regardless of political affiliation having the DNC in Charlotte is an economic stimulus we can’t help but rally together for. It’ll bring $150-$200 MILLION dollars to our city/region. Our libraries and public services are facing closure or reduction as funds all around have been dwindling. This bid could bring about the Queen City’s best features being given national attention and put Charlotte on the map! We all know we’re not some back country bumpkins but the perception is still there that we are.

Now, stretch your fingers and get to spammin' people. Go!

Keep up with the chatter here. Here are the hashtags to watch: #DNC, #DNC2012, #CLT2012, #CLT, #STL, #DNC10

The spamming should tapper off by noon.
