At first thought, Crown Town Handmade’s — a new Charlotte group of artistic entrepreneurs — launch of Make Out sessions may send your mind straight to the gutter. But trust us, it’s not raunchy at all. Folks gather not to stick tongues down each other’s throats, but rather to create crafts with expertise from local artists. The monthly workshops will take place on the last Thursday of each month — and this week’s kicks off on Thursday, April 29 with a series on wearable felt flowers, taught by Donna Kirby of In Ten Years. Beginners to experienced-level craft makers and all ages are welcome to attend. For more information on Crown Town Handmade, visit http://crowntownnc.blogspot.com.
