Antichrist

Duke Energy Theatre

Chaos is to be expected in Lars von Trier's Antichrist. Having debuted at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival, the flick was quickly regarded for its sexual violence. Charlotte Gainsbourg and Willem Dafoe play a couple who retreats to a cabin in the woods after the death of their infant child - who, by the way, fell from a two-story building while the couple was having sex ... Yikes! But, rather than gaining renewal from their grief through nature, things end up going from bad to worse.
