The Fixer's Collective

From Grist.org:

The Fixer's Collective takes the "reuse" part of the "recycle, reuse, reduce" mantra to heart.

Pre-Great Recession, it was easy to toss anything that was broken or bruised because it was easy to replace it with something shiny, over-packaged and new. These days, with sparse  jobs and tight budgets, fixing things instead of trashing them makes a lot more sense. And with the Internet only as far away as the closest library or smart phone, it's also easy to find do-it-yourself tips and how-tos for just about any item or gadget.

So, everyone ready? Get your wrenches, pliers, staple and glue guns. Let's fix something. It's a win-win-win: Your stuff is repaired, you save some dough and our landfills get a break.
