How much CO2 does Duke Energy pump into our atmosphere? 100 million tons. That's right 100,000,000 tons; 8 zeros.

That's what Jim Rogers told 60 Minutes yesterday and it's probably not a huge surprise. But, you might be surprised by the rest of Rogers' message.

He's countered by NASA's James Hansen, who says Rogers' plans are nice but not good enough.

The future of our climate might be summed up in one question: what do we do about coal? Coal generates nearly half the electricity in the United States and the world. But it's the dirtiest fuel of all when it comes to carbon dioxide, or CO2, the leading greenhouse gas.
