Carolina Voices' To Die For Feel the shivers run up and down your spine as sweet meets sinister in Carolina Voices’ annual tribute to Halloween. Coraline Children's Theatre of Charlotte is partnering up with UNC Charlotte's department of theatre for this musical adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s eerie and whimsical children’s story, which was made into a motion picture back in 2009. The show follows the young Coraline who ventures into a parallel world, where she sees an alternative version of her life. This is one that can be enjoyed by children and adults alike. Oct. 16-31. Dance in the Dark A pre-Halloween event that begins at 7 p.m. with Dance Trance Charlotte's Halloween Jam Session class, a dance fitness session. Make sure you step out in your favorite costume, as their will be a costume contest. Evil Dead The Musical Last year this Canadian musical based off of the Evil Dead film series premiered in Charlotte and it's returning for another one-night-only cheesy, gore fest. The storyline revolves around five college friends who spend the weekend at a cabin in the woods. While there they encounter demons, the dismembering of limbs and other spewing surprises. $20 and up. Forever Young: An ‘80s Prom and Halloween Party It’s your turn to go to the prom. Tease your hair, grab a date and be prepared to boogie late. Halloween Daze & Spooky Nights at Carolina Renaissance Festival Carolina Renaissance Festival celebrates Halloween with trick-or -treating around the 25-acre festival village. Matters of Grave Importance Take a glimpse into the past, present and future of local cemetery history and plans with local historian and preservation expert, Jason Harpe.
