Cupcakes ... yum! What’s more exciting than desserts topped with sweet, finger-lickin’ frosting that fit in the palm of your hand and are guaranteed to put a smile on your face (and a bunch of calories in your belly)? Perhaps a fashion line that is all cupcake-themed, like that of Johnny Cupcakes. The brainchild of John Earle (who was voted America’s #1 Young Entrepreneur of 2008 by BusinessWeek magazine), this T-shirt line has exploded onto the scene, garnering an almost cult-like following when he used to sell right out of a suitcase while touring with a band back in the day. After successfully opening locations in Boston and L.A., Earle is taking it back to the streets, literally, on the nationwide Johnny Cupcakes Suitcase Tour, which kicked off in New York today. The CupcakeMobile will be stopping through at Niche on Tuesday, April 6. Head out to the Southend boutique to get some limited tees that won’t be available anywhere else between Virginia Beach and Atlanta. Bonus: Polka Dot Bake Shop will be around giving out cupcake samples.
