Women's Equality Day Celebration 2014 on the Square to celebrate the anniversary of the date in 1920 when women gained the right to vote with the passing of the 19th amendment. The event will also honor women of Mecklenburg County. Keynote speaker is Bettina Hager, Deputy Director of the ERA Coalition in Washington, D.C. other speakers include Judy Rose, Athletic Director , UNC Charlotte and Mayor Jill Swain, Mayor of Huntersville.
