Wild Pink

When: Sun., Oct. 29, 8 p.m. 2017

Wild Pink makes jangly indie rock filtered through the kind of gentle-voiced shoegazy dreampop that once found vocals mixed way back into layers of swirly guitars. But this band doesn’t bury its vocals. Amid the sweet melodicism and Pixies-like bassline of “Great Apes,” from the Brooklyn band’s self-titled debut, they sing of “riding out some psychotropics in the shadow of the World Trade / Trying hard to understand the culture in my face.” Deep shit that begs to be experienced live.
