When Will Be Releases of Movies Postponed Because of the Coronavirus

Description: Being a movie fan during the pandemic has been a tough pill to swallow. Luckily, movies are getting opened again. Here’s what we can expect to see soon.

The entire last year and a half was a true disappointment for all movie fans. Of course, we are already lucky to have Netflix or Disney+. Yet, not being able to visit movie theaters has been hard. Fortunately, as the world is coming back to normal, the movies are coming back. It looks like a slow process, though. Many new movies have been made during such a long absence. Some of the old premiers were postponed till the better times. Other productions delayed their work on movies completely. Overall, the recent events left us without great movie releases we have all been waiting for.

Only now, some of the long-overdue movies are finally making their comebacks in world theaters. Here are just a small fraction of the movie releases that have been postponed due to the Coronavirus.

Fortunately, the world has already been blessed with Dune premier. But, boy, was it a long wait! Many countries have already seen Dune in their theaters. Yet, the world release is set for October 1, 2021. Originally, Dune was expected in December 2020. However, for obvious reasons, they decided to delay the movie premier in anticipation of better times. However, to tell the truth, such an epic movie of Dune was long overdue even before the pandemic. Adventurous, science fiction stories like this are rare gems. Unfortunately, we don’t have that many series of such a kind.

For those who don’t know, Dune is based on a book of the same name published back in 1965. The plot is set in an interstellar society in the distant future. The society is run by noble families (like our main characters’) ruled by the emperor. The main conflict of the story begins when the emperor decides to destroy one of the noble families. You can even find an essay writer to fill you in on the book’s entire plot if you want. Overall, it's fair to say that having these movies in theaters is a true treat. Hopefully, the next chapter of the movie won’t make us wait for too long.

No Time to Die

All James Bond fans were thrilled to learn about the new movie coming up last year. It’s not just that it features one of the best Bonds in modern cinema, Daniel Craig, but it also has Rami Malek as the big villain! You can even contact some writers in arts and cinema to ask them, “can you write my paper on best villains in movies?” We are certain Bond’s bad guys are gonna be there.

Overall, the combo of these two great actors is simply amazing. Unfortunately, though, the movie was postponed from April 2020 to October 2021. It was a long year of waiting. Not to mention thrillers in the theatre will start without the No Time to Die trailer beforehand. Still, our time of waiting is close to the end, at last.

Avatar 2

The first Avatar film by James Cameron was one of the most visually stunning movies ever made. Of course, we expect no less from the new movie, especially considering its crazy budget on visual effects. Originally, the plan was to release each new Avatar movie every December. The plan should have come into force in December 2021. Yet, due to you-know-what, the release of the second movie was postponed to next year. Thus, we will be able to see the newest Avatar only in December 2022. The proceeding movies will be released in the subsequent years.

Spider-Man: No Way Home

Spider-Man: No Way Home is the third Spider-man movie by Jon Watts. Needless to say that it took a rather different approach to the films than its predecessors. However, that’s what works here the best. Our current Spider-man looks and acts younger than its other movie versions. By doing so, Watts keeps the plot closer to the comic books, where Peter Parker is just a schoolboy who has a lot on his plate already. You know, even without being a Spider-Man.

Overall, this movie was long anticipated. Yet, the release of the film keeps getting postponed. This year alone, we already had our hopes up and were destroyed twice. Finally, the third release date is promised on December 17, 2021. We’ll see how it goes.

Untitled Indiana Jones Movie

This is the first Indiana Jones movie in such a long time that we couldn't even believe it. Of course, we have seen the tendency of reincarnating and bringing back the big classics to the modern screens. Yet, who would dare to raise any hopes on seeing Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones one more time? Not those of us who saw the first movies released, that’s for sure. Yet, here we are. Still, the younger generation may need some insight into the significance of such an event. Fortunately, they can always message, “Can you write an essay for me on the Indiana sage and its impact on cinema?” to professional writers.

The new Indiana Jones movie is the only film in the series that’s made without George Lucas and Steven Spielberg. Still, we couldn’t be happier to see what this fifth Indiana movie can give us. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, the shooting of the movie was postponed. Thus, the premier will also happen a year later than expected. Instead of July 9, 2021, we will see it exactly a year later in 2022.
