West African Harp and Spoken Word

Sean Gaskell plays the West African Kora (21 string harp). The Seattle WA resident features traditional and songs of the Mande peoples from Gambia, Senegal, Mali, Guinea and Guinea Bissau. He studied under the instruction of Malamini Jobarteh and Moriba Kuyateh over the course of two extended visits to Gambia. Sean has toured nationally in the US and has been awarded recognition in Gambia for his musical achievements.
