Warhol Wall

When: Fri., Nov. 1, 7-10 p.m. 2013

Whether he was commenting on mass production, consumerism or simply making a statement about his diet, Andy Warhol’s soup can pop art left a lasting impression on the world of modern art. It also left a mark on local Charlotte artists (Christina Welsch, Sharon Dowell, Theron Ross and more), who are coming together and creating artwork — of various mediums — for a special one-night-only exhibit based around Warhol’s iconic Campbell’s Tomato Soup Can. A portion of the proceeds raised from sales goes toward Charlotte Loaves & Fishes, a nonprofit organization that collects and supplies food and groceries to locals in need.
