Charlotte, NC, Thursday, February 19, 2019 - The Wake Forest Summer Immersion Program has been ranked #3 in the nation on College Consensus’ list of the top 30 pre-college summer programs for 2019. College Consensus is a unique college ranking and review aggregator combining top publisher rankings with student reviews. College Consensus bases its rankings on four key indicators: college credit, mentorship, residential experience, and scholarship opportunities. The Wake Forest Summer Immersion Program scored a 73.4, right behind University of California - Berkeley in the top spot (with a score of 78) and the University of California - Los Angeles coming in at #2 (with a score of 76.4).
The Wake Forest Summer Immersion Program did receive the highest score amongst student reviews with a score of 78, versus Berkeley (student score of 76.6) and Los Angeles (student score of 77.8). Committed to creating an exceptional Summer Immersion student experience, Wake Forest prides itself on post-program survey data with 93% of Summer Immersion participants stating that they would recommend the Summer Immersion Program to others and 93% agreeing it is relevant to future college/career plans. The Summer Immersion Program has served approximately 3,000 students from 41 states and 17 countries.

The Wake Forest Summer Immersion Program is an immersive, week-long experience for rising sophomores, juniors, seniors and incoming college freshmen designed to provide an introduction to college life and the opportunity to explore a potential career pathway or field of study. Programming is offered in both Charlotte (Wake Forest Charlotte Center) and Winston-Salem, NC (main campus).
Program Highlights:
Explore a Career Pathway or Major: Choose from 18 specialized institutes and learn from industry professionals and Wake Forest faculty.
Prepare for College: Take advantage of living in Wake Forest dorms, eating in the dining hall, participating in a campus tour and admissions information session and experiencing life at Wake Forest University.
Build a Network: Engage with peers from all over the world and build relationships with professionals and experts in various fields of study.
