As fashion takes over Charlotte this week (with two showcase events happening in Uptown), it's no surprise if you're thinking about your own wardrobe. One way to add to your closet without subtracting too much from your bank account is to go the recycled route. You can do that by checking out the Urban Gypsy Traveling Trunk Show, happening during Amelie's French Bakery's Bizarre Bazaar on Saturday, Sept. 24. The resale trunk show will take over the atrium, offering amazing deals on women's clothing, accessories and shoes (priced from $4-$60). "I'm going to have a whole section for ponchos and capes, because they're really big right now," says Elle Palmer, owner of Urban Gypsy. "I have Anthropologie to Betsey Johnson, Trina Turk — some higher-end things and then I have a lot of weird, eclectic pieces that are handmade. There's a boho-chic feel to the whole thing." You can also enjoy giveaways, a small fashion show and other circus-themed fun, like fortune tellers and face painters. Sept. 24, 2 p.m.-8 p.m. The Atrium at Amelie's French Bakery, 2424 N. Davidson St.
