If the word on the street — actually, the word on the Internet — is to be believed, then viewers who decide to check out this latest offering from the Back Alley Film Series may not see a more experimental, impenetrable or technically dazzling movie all year. In his first film since his 2004 debut effort Primer, Shane Carruth dabbles in the domains of Terrence Malick, David Lynch and David Cronenberg with this trippy drama in which a mysterious organism ingested into her body links a woman (Amy Seimetz) to a stranger (Carruth) and later some ... pigs.
