Traditional Series: Ballads, Stories, and Songs from Madison County

When: Thu., Sept. 15, 7:30 p.m. 2022

Sheila Kay Adams, NEA Folk Heritage Fellow, master ballad singer, banjoist, and story teller, will be joined by fellow master musicians Donna Ray Norton (ballads) and Josh Goforth (ballads, virtuoso fiddle and guitar). The three artists will share Scottish ballads rediscovered in Madison County over a century ago, along with wonderful stories of the world of Sodom, their mountain hamlet. Hailing from one of the most significant musical sources in the Appalachians, these three musicians are unequaled.
