Doesn't hearing someone speak French just make your heart beat a little faster? A romance language, we associate it with sexiness (along with others in the fam, like Italian and Spanish). You can hear the lovely language in multiple films during the Tournées Festival. UNC Charlotte and Pfeiffer University have teamed up for the film festival that features new French films. The festival will showcase six films total, including two screenings of Persepolis. The animated flick (pictured) is based off of Marjane Satrapi's graphic memoir about life in Iran under the harsh regime of Islamic revolutionists, which ultimately leads to her move onto French soil. Other films include Des Hommes et Des Dieux (Of Gods and Men), Le Chant Des Mariees (The Wedding Song), White Material and Un Prophete. For details on times and locations, visit www.facecouncil.org.
