Threads of Identity: Contemporary Maya Textiles
When: Tuesdays, 10 a.m.-9 p.m., Wednesdays-Saturdays, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sundays, 1-5 p.m. Continues through Dec. 31 2011
The exhibit features fashions of the Kaqchikel, Ixil, K’iche’,'Mam, Tz’utujil, Chuj, Awakatek, Jakaltek and Poqomchi’ from Guatemala, and Tzotzil and Tzeltal from Chiapas, Mexico.
Price: Museum admission is $10 for adults; $8 for students and seniors; $5 for children 5-17 years old; Free for children 4 years old and under. Also, free for all on Tuesdays from 5 p.m.-9 p.m.
