December 4, 1956 was a historic day at Sun Record Studios in Memphis, Tennessee. Mostly by chance, some of the best known rock 'n' roll icons - Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins - wandered into the recording playground. An unexpected jam session between them, resulted in rollicking sensation. Broadway's musical Million Dollar Quartet is inspired by the true story and relives the magic of the momentous sounds caught on tape.
