Collaborative Arts kicks off its Charlotte Shakespeare Festival with double the trouble. On June 3 performances of Comedy of Errors begin and continue through June 20 at The Green Uptown. This farce comedy revolves around two sets of identical twins, who are each separated at birth and remarkably end up in the same city (Ephesus) years later. But to make matters complicated, they don't discover each other right away. Instead, the twins' mistaken identities lead to a series of chaotic rumbles around town. Before each show there will be festivities featuring local performers. Oh, and no errors, it's all free. June 3-5, 8 p.m.; June 6, 6:30 p.m.; June 9-12, 8 p.m.; June 13, 6:30 p.m.; June 16-19, 8 p.m.; June 20, 6:30 p.m. The Green is located in Uptown Charlotte at 401 S. Tryon Street, between 1st Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard (across the street from the Charlotte Convention Center). www.collaborativeartstheatre.com.
