On Q Productions is ringing Charlotte. Its production of Robert Johnson Jr.'s Cell Phone Blues is coming back to the Booth Playhouse and will continue through Oct. 4. The play, which features five main characters, is set in none other than the Q.C. -- last year in May of 2008, to be more specific. It focuses on the hard times and struggles of an African-American family, along with some serious optimism that's in the air, due to Barack Obama's run for president. $18.
