Whats not to like? More than 150,000 people spend the first weekend of June in downtown Charlotte, reveling in music, crafts, kids activities and, of course, food some 100 samples of tastes from 30-plus Charlotte restaurants. The festival has grown over its eight-year history to become one of North Carolinas largest food and arts festivals. Admission is free, food is plentiful (and so is the beer and wine, at the Tavern on the Taste), and the people-watching is sublime, rain or shine.
