8TH ANNUAL BEAUJOLAIS NOUVEAU WINE TASTING AT BISTRO 100 100 N. Tryon St. November 15 at Founders Hall in the Bank of America Corporate Center from 5-8:30pm. Guests will taste six different Beaujolais wines while enjoying light hors d'oeuvres, music and drawings for door prizes in a traditional French Ambiance. ARTHUR'S WINE SHOP in Belk at SouthPark will offer wine classes in October. Classes include: Wines of the World, The Wines of Southern France & Spain, The Wines of Italy. BEAUJOLAIS WINE DINNERSThe following restaurants will feature a special Beaujolais menu through November 19: Bistro 100, Etienne's Townhouse, The Meeting House, Patou French Bistro, Sir Edmond Halley's and Zebra Restaurant and Wine Bar. Contact the restaurant of your choice for more information.

CAROLINA WINE CLUB CLASSES Morning classes run from 10-11:30am. Evening classes run from 6:30-8pm. All classes are held at the Mint Museum of Craft + Design. Sessions include: ABC's of Australian Wines - Shiraz, Grenache, and Mourvedre - A Tempting Trio, The "Sleek" Wines of Beaune - The Cote d'Or, Burgundy, French Wines vs. American Wines - A Comparison, and Purchasing Wine in a Grocery Store/Wine Shop - Ordering Wine in a Restaurant. GOURMET FOOD & WINE FEST November 15 at the First Union Atrium & Plaza. All the food you can eat and all the wine you can drink provided by Ethan's of Elizabeth, Upstream, Mimosa, Latorre's, The Capital Grill, and Sante Wine and Prestige Wine distributors. HARRIS TEETER WINE TASTINGS on November 9-10 participating Harris Teeter grocery stores will have Beaujolais wine tastings, including Beaujolais grand cru's and 2000 Beaujolais. Contact your local Harris Teeter store for more information.

HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE Reid's Fine Foods uptown location on 7th Street is transformed into a sea of gourmet treats and great holiday wines to gear up for the season. MCNINCH HOUSE RESTAURANT HOLIDAY PORT & DESSERT WINE TASTING 511 N. Church St. on November 11 from 5-8pm. Cheeses, hors d'oeuvres, and sumptuous desserts will be prepared by new chef, Stephen Gazda.
