Given the chance to close in for the kill, will fed-up American housewives turn out to be house-wimps or carnivores? That's what we'll find out in Michele Lowe's The Smell of the Kill at the Warehouse Performing Arts Center in Cornelius, showing September 20 through October 3. Nicky's husband is a crook, Molly's husband is a stalker, and Debra's husband is merely an adulterer about to file for divorce – and the women are literally armed for action. All those dastardly guys are trapped in a meat locker within earshot. So it's up to Julie Janorschke Gawle as Molly, Joanna Gerdy as Debra, and Anne Lambert as Nicky to show us whether these pistol-packing mamas are just blowing off steam or seriously blowing off husbands. They'll have nobody to blame but themselves if they flop, since they're also co-directing the production.
