The Scarlet Letter

When: Oct. 21-22, 7-9 p.m. 2016

Join us as our High School students present this dramatic story set in the harsh Puritan community of seventeenth-century Boston. Adapted from the novel by Nathaniel Hawthorne, this dark tale centers on Hester Prynne, a passionate woman living in a strict, 17th Century Puritan society.  Hester has had a child out of wedlock, and is sentenced to wear a scarlet A for adultery at all times.  The child’s father feels overwhelming guilt at watching her bear the punishment alone.
