Do you know a teen who loves to serve in his or her community? The Sandbox has opened up applications for our Youth Mentor program (Today through Feb. 28). This program gives rising 9th to 12th graders (currently 8-12th grades) the opportunity to work with The Sandbox as it serves families with children facing cancer, rare, life-altering or terminal illnesses. We have opportunities for teens to be matched with Honorees and become a “buddy” to walk alongside them throughout the year. This program encourages leadership, teaches empathy and compassion while providing community service experience, including the importance of philanthropy.
