The Magellan Society(TMS)-Young Professionals of the World Affairs Council of Charlotte (WACC) presents Rye Barcott, former marine and author of It Happened on the Way to War. Barcott will discuss innovative business practices of his co-founding NGO, Carolina for Kibera (CFK) that helped delevelop, educate and empower the slum city of Kibera, Kenya. Barcott, was recently named a 2011 Young Global Leader at the World Economic Forum, holds a B.A. from UNC Chapel Hill and recieved his MBA from Harvard. 30% of proceeds will go to Carolina for Kibera.
