The Macabre Masque

When: Fri., Oct. 12, 8 p.m. and Sat., Oct. 13, 3 & 8 p.m. 2012

Caroline Calouche & Co. is kicking off its seventh season of suspended hoops, slings, bungee cords and trapezes with a touch of gruesome. Well, that's what we've gathered from the sparse description — three women who rise from the grave to haunt their husbands, two men who are accused of a mass killing at a masquerade party and an accidental suicide — of The Macabre Masque. The aerial dance group Caroline Calouche & Co., formed by contemporary dancer Caroline Calouche in 2005, premiered the production in 2008. The haunty affair also incorporates the literary works and characters of Edgar A. Poe.
